Ramon Rodriguez, III, M.D.Attorney
Dr. Rodriguez received his Juris Doctorate degree from the College of William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law in May 2002. He is admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia and is admitted to practice before United States Court of Federal Claims; United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, Virginia; United States District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, United States District Court Western District of Virginia and the Supreme Court of Virginia. After law school Dr. Rodriguez was engaged in medico-legal consulting in addition to providing direct patient care as a locum tenens physician. He joined RawlsMcNelisin January 2005, where his medical background provided an invaluable resource for the firm and his clinical experiences as a primary care physician allowed him to have additional insight into many of the matters in which he is involved as an attorney. He handles a variety of medico-legal issues and lectures to a wide variety of audiences regarding these matters. Dr. Rodriguez has lectured on vaccine injury litigation, most recently at the American Association for Justice’s 2015 Summer Conference. He is a principal attorney in the Vaccine Litigation division of RawlsMcNelis where he provides representation in the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program for vaccine injured petitioners throughout the country. Prior to attending law school Dr. Rodriguez obtained his Medical Degree in 1990 from the National University of Ireland, Galway, completed his surgical internship in the Republic of Ireland, after which he returned to the United States and completed a residency program in Family Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Area Health Education Center South. He has been board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1994 and is licensed to practice medicine in the Republic of Ireland, Arkansas, Florida and Virginia. Prior to moving to the Commonwealth of Virginia Dr. Rodriguez was a partner and board member of a successful primary care physician group in Hillsborough County, Florida. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Court of Federal Claims Bar Association, the Vaccine Injured Petitioners Bar Association, the American Bar Association Health Law Division, the American Medical Association and the American and Virginia Academies of Family Physicians.
